Happy Monday, friends! Staying home has given me so much free time these days, so I’ve decided to write up a quick little blog on my favorite photo editing apps. Trust me, you’ll definitely want to download these.
Now, I usually edit all of my photos right on my iPhone. Not only do these apps allow for a quick turnaround (praise the copy/paste edit gods!), but it also allows me to not worry about having my computer on me all the time.
1. Lightroom Mobile
To me, Lightroom Mobile is the cherry on top of all the other mobile apps. In fact, I use Lightroom almost daily. From simple white balance tools to perspective tools, Lightroom has it all. Mostly though, I use Lightroom to keep all of my presets. Presets help keep your feed cohesive in the best way, and I seriously can’t get enough of them. After I apply the preset of my choice to my photos, I always go into the other tools to make sure everything is quite literally “picture-perfect.”
P.S Did you know I have a custom preset for sale on my Etsy? It’s true, girl! If you scroll way back on my Instagram, you’ll see that it used to be very warm and bright. If you love the look, feel free to check it out here!
2. Retouch
You know when you have that perfect photo, but you didn’t notice until after that there was a piece of trash on the ground? Or maybe there’s a random person standing in the background totally turning your image? Retouch is the perfect app to get rid of unwanted objects in your photos.
3. Tezza
If you’re just starting to look into the world of IG presets, Tezza is the app for you! Not only is Tezza one of my favorite people to follow on Instagram, but her photos are literally to-die-for. The best part about her app? The presets work for videos! I use this app a lot for IG story and IGTV edits. There’s also a spot motion, vintage film, frames, and subtitle edits for videos. For photos, there’s an edit called “shimmy” that adds the cutest animation to your photo. It’s perfect for the feed or your story!
4. PicsArt
PicsArt is an oldie but a goldie. What makes this app stand out from the rest of the crowd is the ability to create eye-catching photo collages. This app is filled with fun stickers, effects & filters, and you can draw directly onto your photo! One feature that I use often is the background cutout tool. This makes it super easy to grab a bunch of stickers and totally change any blank wall into one with beautiful art on it.
5. Snapseed
Snapseed is an app I’ve only recently added into my editing vault, but it’s an extremely useful app nonetheless. This app has an incredible range of features, but the one that stands out the most to me is their perspective tool. Snapseed fills in pieces of your image that might’ve been messed up from when you were adjusting it.
If you’ve made it to the end of this blog, THANK YOU! Stay tuned for a post dedicated solely to IG filters! 🙂
Lightroom is a great app. It is a raw file editor so you don’t need Adobe Camera Raw. Also, because of the photo management capabilities of Lightroom, you’ll be organizing your digital photography as you import. … Lightroom is also much easier to use than Photoshop, which can have more of a steep learning curve.
