This week, Christopher and I attended a media night at Tandur Indian Kitchen thanks to @eatdrinkclt. We were so excited to give Tandur a try, especially since we both love Indian food, and well, food in general. Tandur can be described as a very casual Indian restaurant, and it’s currently located near Yafo and Earth Fare in South Park.
The first things that caught my attention were the huge exposed ovens and the open view into their spice rooms. At Tandur, they live by the phrase “where spice is life,” and they’re right because they keep over 30 spices in-house.
We started the night by trying okra fries, tanduri chicken wings, and masala crackers. All of which were good, although I am not a fan of chick wings! My favorite of the three was definitely the okra fries. After that, Christopher and I ordered some veggie samosas (which are my favorite), a chicken biryani bowl, and some chicken tikka masala.
Overall, we really enjoyed Tandur, and would definitely come back for the samosas alone. If you’re in the area and are looking for a quick, delicious bite to eat, I highly suggest Tandur!
