Living on Lattes…Literally

Okay, maybe not just lattes…we’re talking espresso shots, cold brew, macchiatos, you name it. If it has caffeine, it has my heart.

Now, let’s get one thing straight: I am not a morning person. I am the definition of a person that cannot function without coffee.

When the coffee-craving kicked in, I usually headed right over to my local Starbucks. My go-to drink was a venti iced caramel macchiato with an extra shot or two of espresso, and honestly, it was getting a little pricey. Can you believe I was spending about $42 each week?! 😧 That amount doesn’t even include the days where I’d buy more than one cup, which was very, very, often.

I’m a college girl on a college budget. I can’t afford to spend that ungodly amount of cash on a cup o’ joe! So, sadly, I had to make the conscious decision to cut back on the Starbucks runs and make my drinks at home.

Luckily, I was blessed with the knowledge on how to work a coffee percolator and a French press. I was even more blessed when my ex-barista boyfriend learned how to make my favorite coffee shop drinks at home. Iced coffees at less than half the price whenever I want?! Yes please!

Now my cabinets are filled with Cafe Bustelo, tons of ground coffee, and Starbucks Flavored Syrups, and I can have as many cups of coffee as I want. Guilt-free. I wonder if this is what heaven is like?

Here are a few of my favorite coffee-related products:
